Tuscarora Nation 10K Run & 2.5M Run/Walk

Please join us on Saturday July 13, 2019 for the Tuscarora 10K! This race is part of the 174th Annual Tuscarora Nation Picnic and Field Days. Events start Friday July 12th at 5pm and run thru Saturday evening and feature the Tuscarora Princess contest, baby competition, and smoke dance competition. There will be native foods, crafts, and much more. This family friendly event is open to the general public.

START/FINISH
Both the 10K Run and the 2.5 Mile run will start at 9:00 sharp on the corner of Walmore and Mount Hope Road in front of Tuscarora Elementary School.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP

Online registration will remain open until Thursday 7-11-19 at 5:00pm. Paper registration forms can me downloaded and mailed to the address shown. Race day registration will take place in the picnic grove adjacent to the school from 7:30 am right up until the start of the race at 9:00 am. Official Tuscarora 10K t-shirts guaranteed to all participants who register by July 5th at noon. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Join us for a post race celebration immediately following the race. Water and snacks will be provided and runners are invited to stick around for the parade, picnic, and to visit the numerous vendors selling native crafts and food. There will be smoke dancing, music, the awards ceremony, and the annual Tuscarora Indian Princess competition!

PARKING
There is plenty of free parking in the school parking lot and at the brand new Nation House directly across the street from the school. Please do not park on the shoulder of the road to allow for traffic.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
10K Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers, oldest and youngest runner, and the top three male and female runners in each of the following age groups:

14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older.

2.5 Mile Race awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
